MGA Committees
Fundraising Committee
Chair: Bill Kuehling, Polsinelli Shughart
The Fundraising Committee focuses on signing up sponsors for the Fall Networking Event in St. Louis. The Committee meets starting in May but has only a few actual meetings with much of the follow-up being done via conference call.
Kansas City Regional Committee
Chair: Gary Hassenflu, Garrison Development
The Kansas City Regional Committee meets monthly on the first Wednesday of the month. This group discusses legislative activity on both the state and local levels, hosts several events throughout the year and also raises sponsorship funds for MGA for events in Kansas City.
Legislative Committee
Chair: Garrick Hamilton, The Koman Group
The Legislative Committee meets several times throughout the year and focuses on developing MGA’s legislative agenda, vetting issues that arise in Jefferson City and reviewing other public policy issues.
Membership
Chairman: Kathy Sorkin, E.M. Harris
The Membership Committee works to retain current members and bring in new members in St. Louis and Kansas City. Ultimately, MGA would like to develop a stronger membership in Springfield, Missouri.
